Catalog description

Pharmacotherapy II is designed to develop the student’s ability to assess patients and provide pharmaceutical care. The course focuses on learning drug characteristics of commonly prescribed medications and developing and applying problem-solving strategies for complex illnesses commonly encountered in pharmacy practice. Students are expected to identify and assess medical and medication-related problems, recommend drug therapy, and monitor for safe and effective drug use. Four hours of didactic and two hours of recitation occur weekly.
