Catalog description

Students enrolled in this applied skills lab will gain skills necessary to provide care for patients with illnesses commonly encountered in community practice. Students will be completing “Self-Care” and “Behind the Counter” based lab activities. Learning activities are designed to complement didactic instruction while allowing students to apply knowledge in a simulated environment. Student achievement of core abilities will be assessed through completion of assigned activities and an Objective Structured Clinical Examination.
