Catalog description

This course introduces students to the professional degree program and the profession of pharmacy by discussing the curriculum, motivational strategies for learning, student success, teams and teamwork, and professional responsibilities and roles of a pharmacist. Students will examine and reflect on personal knowledge, skills, abilities, beliefs, biases, motivation, and emotions that could enhance or limit personal and professional growth following completion of various self-assessments. This course also assists students to assume responsibility for their own learning. One 50-minute class session is held per week.
