Catalog description

This course examines the professional, ethical, legal, policy, and business foundations of nurse anesthesia. Students will interpret standards and policies outlined in the American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology (AANA) Professional Practice Manual, assess the influence of professional organizations, and apply legal and business principles to practice. The course emphasizes professionalism, advocacy, regulation, credentialing, malpractice, and practice management as they shape the role of the Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA).
