Catalog description

This course is the first in a two-semester sequence focusing on the pharmacologic and physiologic principles essential to anesthesia practice. Students examine major drug classes, mechanisms of action, and their effects on organ system physiology. Emphasis is placed on pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and clinical application of chemistry and biochemistry concepts in anesthesia care.
