Catalog description

This course is designed to provide a systematic approach to incorporating evidence into practice to improve healthcare. The course builds on the underpinnings of an evidence-based practice project proposal. The student will incorporate the principles of human subject protection into the proposal and develop the evidence-based intervention materials, establish the data collection with statistical analysis, engage in interprofessional collaboration in planning the project, and address sustainability and dissemination plans. Support for the evidence-based improvement plan includes technology, information systems, and nursing informatics. The Doctor of Nursing Practice faculty will approve the proposal. This course consists of 2 didactic and 1 clinical credit hour.
