Catalog description

This course will explore ways in which the humanities and medicine interact; Special topics include; therapeutic applications of the visual arts, current research on how the brain processes 'sees' art, survey of western art history with special emphasis on how it relates to medical practice, how medical conditions effected artists creative output. Special attention will be paid to rural communities.
