The Longitudinal Integrated Clerkship (LIC) is a unique training experience required for students at the St. Joseph campus of the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Medicine. The LIC provides an opportunity for students to develop a multitude of competencies in the setting of a rural primary care practice. Students will learn medicine through a patient-centered model of care that allows the student to engage with the entire health care system to fully understand a multi-disciplinary approach to “whole-illness” management.
