Catalog description

This course teaches students about interdisciplinary team experiences and advocacy, exploring how these two components reflect some common roles of a physician. Students will hear about allied healthcare personnel roles in patient care and learn to communicate effectively among healthcare professionals, learning how to recognize others’ expertise with problem-solving and collaborative patient care. Lastly, through these skills, students will learn how to understand local health-related concerns and understand advocacy within their professional and personal communities.
