Provides self-awareness and personal growth strategies, facilitating acquisition of professional character development (e.g., honesty, integrity, compassion, altruism) and managing stress. Explores non-biological factors influencing health and the appreciation of different value systems and lifestyles. Promotes ethical considerations and professionalism, student conduct, and identity formation as emerging physicians. Emphasizes the team-approach in weekly problem-solving small-group activities onsite in Docent experiences. Integrates patient interviewing with the early development of critical thinking skills used in clinical medicine.
