Catalog description

Department of Labor Law Externs assist agency attorneys in the Regional Solicitor’s Office of the United States Department of Labor enforcing federal labor statutes, including the Fair Labor Standards Act, Occupational Safety and Health Act, and Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs, among others. Students undertake legal research, draft discovery requests, review and analyze evidence, participate in client and staff conferences related to enforcement strategy, and assist enforcement personnel in investigations.
