City Law Externs work in the Law Department of the City of Kansas City in municipal court litigation, legal advising, and legal aspects of policy development. Extern assignments include litigation and non-litigation based research and drafting. In litigation contexts, law externs draft briefs, conduct discovery and case file analysis, prepare witnesses, and handle other aspects of trial preparation.
