Catalog description

The course introduces students to Immigration Law, including the admission, exclusion, deportation, and naturalization of aliens, the structure and powers of relevant federal agencies, the categories of immigrant and non-immigrant visas and visa application procedures, the doctrines governing asylum, extradition, and refugee status, the rights of aliens, public policy issues and proposals for reform, and practical problems in immigration.
