This course is designed to give students a working familiarity with “the other forum” – the increasingly popular but often misunderstood private alternative to court litigation known as “commercial arbitration.” It will focus on the differences between arbitration and litigation, the types of evidence admitted in arbitration hearings, and how to vacate unfavorable arbitration awards.
