Master Class in Postconviction Advocacy Credits: 3-6

Catalog description

Students will work in conjunction with professors and other pro bono attorneys, paralegals, social workers, and investigators to represent indigent clients in matters relating to securing release from prison through habeas corpus, parole, special statutory procedures, executive clemency, or other appropriate proceeding. The focus of the client representation will be geared towards investigation, development, and presentation of legal claims for relief or mitigating evidence to impact discretionary release decisions.
