Catalog description

This course is a practical skills course combining elements of Postconviction Remedies (habeas corpus, state postconviction procedural rules and statutes, extraordinary writs, parole, clemency, and other procedural paths for release from prison), Fundamentals of Investigation (document gathering, locating and interviewing witnesses, Internet investigation), and Mental Health Investigation (methods unique to biopsychosocial history investigation), and synthesizing work product into legal claims for relief and arguments for release. Prerequisites: Completion of two semesters of Law School, including Criminal Law and Lawyering Skills.
