Catalog description

This course introduces students to the historical and constitutional foundation for the Second Amendment. The course centers on theories of judicial interpretation and the differences between “collective” and “individual” rights. Students will evaluate historical documents and the constitutional text to argue the intent of the language used in the Second Amendment.
