This course pioneers unexplored spaces at the junction of corporate law, technology (e.g., artificial intelligence, social media, mobile-first investing apps, etc.), and society. It examines the legal framework that governs the relationship between corporate governance and technology, and investigates how technology affects—and will affect—corporate law and policy. Examples of topics discussed in this course include: the role of artificial intelligence in corporate governance, opportunities and risks for corporate governance generated by mobile-first investing apps, finfluencers, and investomers.
