Catalog description

This course introduces the fundamentals of contract law in the United States. Specifically, the course addresses components of these topics: contract formation, alternate forms of enforcing promises, the rights and obligations of a contract, including interpretation principles, defenses and justifications, contract performance obligations, excuses for nonperformance, breach of contract, and remedies. Students will be introduced to sections of the Uniform Commercial Code relating to sales of goods and may be introduced to the sections of the Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.
