Catalog description

Clinical application of the principles taught in preceding terms. Clinical emphasis on intraoral image capture techniques and the use of “sensor-holding beam alignment” devices for storage of phosphor imaging plates, solid-state sensors, and correct patient positioning for panoramic radiographic image capture. Proper application of image modification tools in digital image viewer software is also emphasized. The recognition of radiographic signs of dental caries, periodontal disease, jaw cysts, jaw tumors and other pathologic processes affecting the jaw is reviewed as part of the overall image evaluation along with the technical evaluation of the images.
