Catalog description

This course is designed to provide students with an understanding of suicide prevention from the perspective of a counselor. The major focus of the course will be on learning assessment and treatment strategies. Attention will also be given to statistics and research related to suicide. In addition, ethical considerations and common symptoms, experiences, and co-occurring disorders will be discussed.
