Catalog description

This course will discuss the fundamentals of playing and teaching woodwind instruments in an authentic setting. In order to achieve this, students are required to develop some performance ability as well as teaching techniques and strategies fo reach particular woodwind instrument. Basic principles, such as embouchure formation and development, fingerings, transposition, intonation, teaching materials, and teaching techniques will be covered. Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Oboe and Bassoon will be discussed during this course.
