Catalog description

This course combines lectures with hands on cadaveric-based dissection to foster a deeper understanding of structure, function and spatial relationships of human anatomy. This course covers introductory principles of the following systems: gastrointestinal, accessory digestive, endocrine, urogenital, nervous and special sensory. In addition, this course covers fundamental concepts regarding structure, function and anatomical relationships of the abdominopelvic cavity, and contents of the head and neck. A passing grade in an undergraduate anatomy course is recommended preparation to Cadaver-Based Anatomy II-BMS 5502.
