(same as ART_VS 7512 , MUS_GENL 7512 ; cross-leveled with THEATR 4512 , ART_VS 4512 , MUS_GENL 4512 ). This course provides a solid foundation on the core principles of entrepreneurial practice. The focus here is on the development, creation, and implementation of new arts ventures. Students will identify career objectives and develop a framework for achieving it. In addition, students will receive an in-depth survey of the commercial arts industry world, with emphasis on career opportunities within the music recording, performing, music retail, and music management sectors.
