Media and Power in Comparative Perspective Seminar

Catalog description

This course traces the historical development of U.S. and selected international media systems. We analyze and debate the relationship of differing media systems to political power, popular culture, and the facilitation or inhibition of democratic practices. Students do comparative analyses of international media institutions and related analyzes of media content. Credit Hour s : 3 Prerequisites: undergraduate seniors may enroll with instructor's consent
