Sociology of Immigration

(cross-leveled with SOCIOL 4545 ). This course will cover both classic and contemporary research on immigration within US sociology. Major topics of concern will be how immigration intersects with issues of law, race and ethnicity, gender and sexuality, social mobility, education, employment, politics, urban studies, marriage and family, health, and social networks.
