Catalog description

This course focuses on how society affects food production and consumption patterns and views of nutrition. Examples of topics covered: food and the environment, food choices and culture, class and personal identity, the effects of social stigmas, advertising trends, food and agricultural policy, body image, and new social movements for sustainable food systems. Credit Hour s : 3 Recommended: ENGLSH 1000 and junior or senior standing or instructor's permission
