Catalog description

(cross-leveled with SLHS 7420 ). The focus of this course is on prevention, identification, assessment, and intervention for language and reading disorders in school-age children. We will learn about evidence-based practice in language and reading disorders, as well as develop the explicit linguistic knowledge necessary to deliver effective intervention. We will emphasize the roles and responsibilities of speech-language pathologists in direct service delivery and as members of the educational team. Graded on A-F basis only.
