Catalog description

This course is designed to help students gain an understanding of how research in the discipline of speech and language sciences is conducted and how to differentiate between good-quality and poor-quality research design. We will explore the importance of the scientific method in conducting rigorous research. The course will enable students to explore the different types of research conducted within the discipline and will prepare students for an introductory experience in a research lab. Graded on A-F basis only. Credit Hour s : 3 Prerequisites: Sophomore standing
