Multicultural Considerations in Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences

This course is designed to heighten student awareness and sensitivity to the cultural and linguistic differences that affect the identification, assessment, treatment, and provision of services to individuals with communication disorders or differences. Throughout this course, topics related to diverse cultures and practices will be explored, and opportunities to apply knowledge of cultural considerations to assessment and treatment practices within speech, language and hearing sciences will be provided.
