Catalog description

This course is intended as an introductory experience in the field of Radiation Oncology. Students will enhance their knowledge, skills, and attitudes about patient-centered care through active participation in direct patient care activities while under the supervision of a faculty preceptor. Students will integrate previously acquired knowledge and concepts and apply them to the care and management of patients. During the clerkship, students will be expected to work-up patients, perform physical exams, and present cases to faculty. Students will also be exposed to treatment planning, simulations, and treatment deliveries throughout the rotation. Credit Hour s : 2 Prerequisites: Successful completion of the first two years of medical school
