Catalog description

This course covers psychological models, theories and research relevant to diverse groups in the United States. The course presents a theory-based, applied-focused, and experiential approach to culturally competent practices (including research, teaching, and/or clinical work) at the individual and organizational levels. Examination of personal values and education about the interrelationship between race, class, gender, sexuality, religion, national origin and ability status are accomplished via readings, structured activities, and group discussions. Credit Hour s : 3 Prerequisites: Instructor's consent required
