Catalog description

This elective rotation consists of at least 160 hours. Addictions Medicine medical selective is designed to provide M4 students the opportunity to expand and deepen their exposure to interviewing and treating patients dealing with addiction in multiple substances. They will become familiar with the multiple levels of care involved in treating patients with substance use disorders. Students will select an appropriate topic to present to attending faculty at the end of the elective. Prerequisites: Medical Students Only: Successful completion of 5 of the 7 core clerkships. One of the 5 must be Psychiatry. Credit Hour s : 5
