Catalog description

The fourth-year medical student will work as part of a team providing hands-on geriatric psychiatry services in inpatient, outpatient, and consultative setting. Students will participate in patient evaluation and care, weekly didactic sessions, and TMS and ECT treatments. Students will learn about geriatric psychiatry through supervised and guided direct evaluation and care experiences using a variety of evidence-based resources, bedside teaching, interactive lectures, and online modules. Credit Hour s : 5 Prerequisites: Successful completion of the first two years of medical school and 5 of 7 core clerkships including psychiatry
