Sport Officiating

Catalog description

This course provides opportunities to acquire knowledge, skill, and experience to function effectively as a sports official. It serves as an introduction into the officiating profession, focusing on knowledge of rules and regulations of selected sports, developing skills in the area of communication, decision-making, and conflict management. Students will be exposed to philosophies behind the sports official with an emphasis on mechanics, rule interpretation, and enforcement. Graded on A-F basis only. Credit Hour s : 3
