Histopathology of Joint and Disc Degeneration

Catalog description

This course will focus on the degenerative/osteoarthritic changes seen in synovia, menisci, articular cartilage, subchondral bone, ligaments, fat pad, tendon and intervertebral discs in biped and quadruped animals. Scoring systems used to quantify these changes will be reviewed. Cases will be provided and discussed. Laboratories with hands-on dissection of joints and processing of tissues for histology will be offered. Graded on A-F basis only. Credit Hour s : 3 Prerequisites: Instructor's consent
