In this course students are introduced to the wide range of veterinary involvement in maintaining and assuring human health, nationally and globally. Topics discussed include: agencies such as USDA, FDA, CDC, food safety and meat inspection, veterinary responsibility in identifying diseases, legal issues of drug use, and zoonotic diseases.
