This course introduces students to the fundamental concepts, tools, and techniques used in machine learning as applied to problems in physics. The course is divided into two phases: an instructional phase focused on learning core tools and algorithms in modern machine learning, followed by a project phase where students apply their knowledge in small groups to a real-world physics problem. Graded on A-F basis only. Credit Hour s : 3 Prerequisites: Introductory programming experience or instructor's consent required
