(cross-leveled with PHIL 7430 ). Conceptual, epistemological, and metaphysical issues that arise when considering current or historical theories in fundamental physics. Topics may include the conceptual foundations of spacetime, interpretations of quantum mechanics, underdetermination in large-scale cosmology, and relations between physical theories (e.g., reduction, emergence, correspondence, duality).
