Catalog description

This course provides an overview to conducting research using a social determinants of health framework. This course examines social factors that are key determinants of health and health equity. Students will explore theoretical foundations underlying the relationships between social factors and health equity. Research tools, interventions, strategies, outcomes and health policies will be investigated. The course will provide a foundation for designing and conducting future research that incorporates a social determinants of health and health equity lens. Graded on A-F basis only.
