Catalog description

Prepares the DNP graduate to impact change with individuals, populations, and systems. Building on the knowledge and skills from previous courses in the DNP program, this course prepares the BSN for entry-level advanced nursing practice and the MSN to expand current practice. The primary focus of the course is on leading and communicating change, creating innovations in healthcare delivery, affecting policy and economics, and producing scholarly work. The DNP project results are disseminated as an example of the successful completion of the scholarly work. Finally, career planning, including preparation for a certification exam and competency in advanced practice nursing skills, are addressed. Graded on A-F basis only. Credit Hour s : 2 Prerequisites or Corequisites: NURSE 9080 and NURSE 9070
