Introduction to Scholarly Writing

This course is designed to introduce graduate students to the fundamental principles of scholarly writing and research with emphasis on developing skills necessary for writing academic papers. The course covers the basics of academic writing and nursing scholarship including topic development, clarity and tone, format and flow, literature searches, synthesis of the literature, use of appropriate sources and American Psychological Association (APA) citation practices.
