Community and Public Health Nursing - Writing Intensive

This undergraduate nursing course explores the theories, principles, and practices essential to promoting and maintaining health and wellness within communities and among populations. Students will gain knowledge and develop skills that will allow them to properly assess community and population health needs, develop evidence-based intervention strategies, and work in interprofessional teams. Emphasis will be placed on understanding the socio-cultural, economic, and political impact on the health of communities, as well as disparities in healthcare access and outcomes among vulnerable populations. This course prepares students for community health practice and leadership in various settings, including but not limited to schools, community-based organizations, clinics, and public health organizations.
