Informatics is the science of managing information. This course provides basic content for understanding informatics in nursing. Principles, theories, and practices of informatics from seeking and storing to retrieving and analyzing information will be presented. Students will apply basic content as they consider informatics from consumer and provider perspectives for current or future use as nursing professionals. Graded on A-F basis only. Credit Hour s : 3 Prerequisites: Admission to RN-BSN option
