Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Basics Field and Clinical Practicum

Catalog description

The EMT-Basic Field and Clinical Practicum provides students with additional EMT concepts and hands on application of the medical concepts and techniques learned from the EMT-Basic course. During the field and clinical practicum, students will work side by side with EMS professionals and provide emergency care in the pre-hospital and hospital settings. This clinical course is part 2 of 2 in meeting the Bureau of Emergency Medical Services of the State of Missouri requirements for EMT certification. Graded on A-F basis only. Credit Hour s : 2 Prerequisites or Corequisites: NURSE 2500 Recommended: Students must be at least 18 years of age
