Catalog description

(same as MANGMT 8430). Focuses on the design, organization, and implementation of databases to support data-driven decision-making in a business context. Students learn how databases are structured, optimized, and used to manage and retrieve large volumes of data, enabling efficient analysis and reporting. Students gain hands-on experience with database tools such as SQL to create, maintain, and query databases, applying best practices to ensure data accuracy, accessibility, and scalability. The course also covers techniques for handling unstructured data and explores cloud-based database solutions. Graded on A-F basis only. Credit Hour s : 3 Prerequisites: May be restricted to MBA students during early registration
