Comprehensive introduction to the basic principles of immunology. The course is designed for undergraduates majoring in biology, biochemistry or health professions. Introduction to cells and organs of the immune system, innate and adaptive immunity, development, activation and effector functions of lymphocytes, hypersensitivity, host response to infection and vaccination, autoimmunity and tumor immunology. Introduction to Immunology 1. Graded on A-F basis only. Credit Hour s : 3 Recommended: BIO_SC 2200 and BIO_SC 2300
