Catalog description

(cross-leveled with MATH 4300 ). Machine arithmetic, approximation and interpolation, numerical differentiation and integration, nonlinear equations, linear systems, differential equations, error analysis. Selected algorithms will be programmed for solution on computers so familiarity with a programming tool such as MATLB, Python, or C++ is expected. Credit Hour s : 3 Prerequisites: Grade of C- or better in MATH 2300 and MATH 4100 , and one of INFOTC 1040 or CMP_SC 1050 , or CMP_SC 1300 or instructor's consent required
