Catalog description

(cross-leveled with MATH 4070 ). A detailed study of integer and rational arithmetic and algebra. Topics include the Binomial Theorem, mathematical induction, division algorithm, Euclid's Algorithm, Fundamental Theorem of Arithmetic, Pythagorean triples, modular arithmetic and generalizations to polynomials, matrices and other axiomatic structures. Credit Hour s : 3 Prerequisites: Grade of C- or higher in MATH 1400 or MATH 1500 . Enrollment is restricted to students in the College of Education
