Catalog description

(same as BIOL_EN 7370 ; cross-leveled with BME 4370 , MAE 4211 , BIOL_EN 4370 ). Engineering sciences will be leveraged to create a comprehensive study of orthopaedic biomechanics. The tissue mechanics of bone and soft tissue will be studied along with applying structural analysis of the musculoskeletal system. Repair systems for fractured bones and worn joints will also be studied. Graded on A-F basis only. Credit Hour s : 3 Recommended: An undergraduate course in engineering materials
